i am cool. or am i? who am i to decide if i am. kids there's a lesson here so listen up. what does it mean to be cool. is cool wearing skinny jeans a band shirt and eyeliner? to some kids that is cool. well no comment. is cool dressing up with bling a cap and shirts a million sizes too big? to some that is cool.
who in society decides what is cool and what is not. how do fashion mags decide what is cool. i was watching 'the devil wears prada' that time. and i was like. what makes her think that she's so cool and why is she the one deciding what is in and what's not. so back to the question. am i cool? i'll answer with a resounding yes. but some people might cut in and say "your dressing is so last season". and i'll give them the huh? face. so am i cool because i listen to indie music. but that is not true i am so not that kind that's like man this music sucks just because they're with a famed label. on the other hand i listen to pop. yes pop. john mayer is pop. well unless he's playing the blues. mostly he plays the blues now but his hordes of screaming female fans might not be able to tell the difference. so am i cool just because i play the guitar and i am quite good at that? no. i think the guitar is fun. and cool. but wait. some people will say "STOPPP... the guitar is so uncool. the coolest is the PIANO!". okk.... the piano. wow. great. i love the piano.
(when i want to slack for the slow worship songs.) so what is cool. i still havent answered my own question. well i think cool is when you do something and you're comfortable with it. it doesnt matter if the rest of the world think that you look like shit in that dress or in that shirt or in that pair of tights. heck good ol' bruce wears tights and throws freaking boomerangs around and no one calls him a fool. but on the other hand he does have the batmobile to up the coolness. well being cool is being yourself. acting like yourself. not pretending to be someone that you are. you dont have to be talking to the opposite sex just to feel great about yourself. yeah i agree the opposite sex makes damn intersting friends. heh.
i'll stick to being myself. because i am cool.
